a falling out

five of swords + knight of swords
There has been a falling out (Swords) between a violent person (Five of Swords) and an upbeat person (Knight of Swords), but the upbeat person isn't succumbing to negativity.  The upbeat person is staying grounded, calm, and pretty direct during this battle.  Looks like the violent person might be contacting our upbeat querent, intentionally or unintentionally drawing out the hostility between them.  But the upbeat person is sticking to their defense of deflection, repeating "Nah.  No thanks.  I'm done.  This is over for me.  Take care."
Two days ago, we had another reading that described a dispute.  If today is a continuation of Monday, then we have the same resilient and upbeat querent who is amazingly able to maintain authority and ownership over their personal happiness.  It seems, from both readings, this is querent is committed to joy - even during harsh and challenging moments.  It seems the person whom our querent is clashing with hasn't learned/accepted that our querent really has no interest in dishonor, cruelty, and unnecessarily tense talks.  Obviously our querent can participate in difficult talks (Swords, and specifically Knight of Swords)...  But here's the bottom line and probably the glitch between these two:  The abrasive Five of Swords person has their eyes only on the prize, while the Knight of Swords querent indulges in the pleasure of process.  These two readings suggest that difference might be aggravating the rift.
Today's cards are from Robin Wood Tarot.
