This is an extremely interesting tarot card combo: On the one hand, we have a "boyfriend" figure who feels (cups) romantic.  On the other hand, we've got the significant other (the S.O.) of this "boyfriend" who thinks (swords) the total opposite - that the relationship is ruined and over.  There seems to be some crossed wires here, with the S.O. feeling backstabbed after what s/he perceives as a painful event, while the "boyfriend" remains joyful about the connection.
