your spirit guide

temperance + the emperor
This a card combination largely about connecting with your spirit guide, so let us consider various ways to do that:  Firstly, you gotta believe in spiritual energy and recognize your spirit guide. Secondly, "automatic writing" can be telling and trustworthy. Sometimes I write something that seems like an error, so I cross it out on my paper, but if the mistake comes true, this may be automatic writing, functioning as heads-up from my spirit guide.  For me, this notably happens with time.  I'll write "Do x-y-z at 4pm," but then quickly cross out 4pm while thinking "Wait!  That's ridiculous it  can't happen at 4pm because of q-r-s!"  Next thing I know, it's happening at 4pm.  (I'd surmise that everyone's experience with automatic writing is individual and personalized.  Maybe for someone it's not time, but people or places.)  Here's a link to the site LONERWOLF, which I have been reading for a few years before the writers have a spiritual life similar to my own.  Right now this may seem simplistic and silly, but when you're in a trance, you know it.  I've never met anybody who said, "Yah, I don't think that was a trance."  Maybe a character in a Woody Allen film, but nobody in real life.  Finally, once a connection has been made, ask the spirit guide questions.
Today's card combination requires a querent to connect with his or her spirit guide in order to increase the harmony in their life.  The profile of today's querent is someone who's been single, childless, meticulous, and patient.  A long time ago, this person hit a rock while trying to partner up, trying to find a partner.  They've been waiting for a partner and finally - sometime soon - their patience will be rewarded.  I think what tonight's cards reveal or confirm is that their love life has been under the control of divinity, spirit guides, something beyond humanness, beyond breath.  For some larger and cosmic reason, today's querent was supposed to be single and childless.  But spiritual tides are turning.  Call it G-d or divine intervention, but some force larger than us humans and our spirit guides, this force will finally replace the potential of partnership into the hands of our querent and their spirit helpers.  The Emperor is one of the best cards to complement Temperance, because it means a man whom our querent loved will return to her or him.  And just to repeat myself, cosmically speaking, this relationship was not allowed before - the fates were dead set against it, and all odds were against this love relationship.  With the pairing of Temperance and the Emperor, there is now a celestial green light for our querent to be with this man.
Emperor and Temperance are major arcana, making this an extra significant taroscope, and indeed I'd be thrilled to give this reading to someone!  If I were talking to a querent in-person, I'd emphasize starting with the spirit guide, and I would get candid about my experience with guides - which I don't often do, because it can sound crazy.  But it's not.  It's just a precious, private, privileged experience - like a Jew's Hebrew name or Amish Rumspringa.  I've found guides to be like the middle management of the spirit world.  Ask questions.  Make demands, if they're fair and not unreasonable.  If this querent wants a man to return to his or her life, now is the time to ask, because the spirit guide(s) will find some uncanny way to make it happen.  And finally I would praise this querent for being soooo amazingly patient!  It's been a long time for them, and she or he deserves some overdue human love and companionship.
The cards are from Morgan-Greer Tarot.
