I was in the middle of preparing our tarot, when I thought to myself "I really don't want to do this tonight."  I wanted to stop, lounge in bed, yawning, and half asleep while listening to Anita Baker.....  And that, friend, is the unmotivated apathy of Four of Cups.  (If you go to this link, you will understand the positive influence that the Hierophant has on the Four of Cups.)

Tonight's traditional querent is part of a conventional community of similar individuals, but at the present moment, our querent is self-absorbed and focused on his or her own interests.  This querent is spending time alone, acknowledging and contemplating their own beliefs and morals.  This querent is in tune with a greater force - call it God, a certain deity, or resonating with the Universe - this person's very in tune with their environment, community, and beliefs.
