Today's querent is a woman artist (the Eight of Pentacles).  This woman finds herself in a stalemate, so she is left with some difficult choices.  But difficult as they may be, she continues to have choices.  She is turning her attention away from where no action can be taken (Two of Pentacles), and she is intently focused on where her active practice can lead to artistic perfection.  This woman compartmentalizes!  And in one part of her life there is a deadlock between this woman and an opposing force or person, but this woman is basically ignoring the deadlock so that she can actively accomplish something positive and creative.
