should be emotional

page of cups + eight of swords
A querent should be emotional and intimate (Page of Cups).  However, this person thinks that if they reveal their inner child, if they wear their heart on their sleeve, then they will cause emotional confusion (Page of Cups + Eight of Swords).  While our querent believes this is a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" situation, the real problem is our querent's fear of commitment.  Someone has moved and touched our querent, and our querent could find so much happiness with that other person, but only if our querent makes a romantic gesture.
With today's reading, we're back at the folks who were starting to date, but who called it quits after one of them broke off in a crappy backstabbing manner - ROMANTIC BOYFRIEND.  Whether a boy or a girl, it seems the querent who cut the connection wants to start again (Page of Cups).  If this is the case, our querent should send a love letter (Page of Cups).  In this love letter, our querent needs to be totally honest.  Our querent needs to announce/share the reasons why he or she feels stuck and confused about moving forward with a commitment. Our querent may be surprised to find out the other person can totally relate to the feelings of confusion!  In this relationship, choices have been made with the head over the heart, but that must change.  There's no entrapment here.  Our querent can safely be emotional and intimate.
I don't wanna get too rom-commy, but today while working remotely I rewatched one of my fave films from the 1990s, The Truth about Cats & Dogs, and there's a scene at the very end when the boy (Brian) returns to the girl (Abby), and the boy says "hey I've been doing alot of thinking and we should try it again, but this time more honestly."  Today's taroscope has that sort of vibe.  To these two querents, it's time for your take two, the second act, the better act.
