A romantic boyfriend has broken up with the person he was dating, and he did it in a crappy backstabbing manner (the Ten of Swords).  Especially if this romantic querent is a Cancer, then he has managed to really ruin the other person's hopes and maybe even the other person's holiday (Ten of Swords).  However, our querent doesn't have to be a man.  Another scenario is that a lovely and joyful woman has somehow become enemies with someone she dumped.  Most of us are familiar with this situation:  There's a great person, who is socially popular and professionally appreciated, but they are atrocious when it comes to dating.  (I call them the Uncles and Aunts.  They're the commitment phobes who love children but will never step up to become partners or parents themselves.  We could also call them Hugh Grants.)  That's what we have with today's card combination.  Regardless of gender, our very romantic querent created a bitter and insulting situation with the person whom they recently dumped.

Last weekend we had the Knight of Cups in the first position, and it was a tarotscope about two querents who were flexible as their relationship took root - A BALANCING ACT.  With today's cards, it looks like that relationship has failed because of the querent who romances without making a serious commitment.  To the other person who is feeling devastated, today's cards promise that there is new hope just around the corner - definitely by the end of this year.
