drug abuse

ten of swords + seven of pentacles
Today's querent had been struggling with drug abuse.  Drugs meant alot to this person, but now as they hit rock bottom (Ten of Swords), this person is stopping to assess and figure out what else can come to fruition within their life.  Perhaps our querent had an overdose scare.  Whatever happened, he or she is ready to get help.  This is a case when losing interest in something - specifically, their drug abuse (Ten of Swords) - and failing at that thing, is a good turn of events.  Our querent's surrender of fear becomes the death of a bad situation prior to a new situation.  Between the old and new situations, our querent is able to take downtime / have a time-out, when they may realize that they didn't lose everything good during addiction.  There is a harvest in this person's life, which they can carry forward into their healthier future.
Two days ago, we had Ten of Swords as our first card.  If today's querent is the same person who's BEEN BACKSTABBED, he or she continues to be in the midst of a major psychological transformation (Ten of Swords) which will lead to profits.  This person should contemplate the question, "How long do you wait for work to produce fruit?" (Seven of Pentacles)  Making things right in their life is a long-term process that may take a few years, but by gaining clarity on [1] how much hard work they must do and [2] how long they will have to toil, our querent's mental stress lessens.  Today's tarot cards do predict pay-outs, but most likely not for awhile.
